"Why are we so focused on treating diseases instead of preventing them?" I asked myself.

I transferred to a college where I could pursue a didactic program in dietetics and would graduate magna cum laude from Russell Sage College in NY with a bachelor's degree in Nutrition Science. I knew that striving to learn with the best would provide me with the tools I needed to offer the highest level of care. My passion and dedication led me to Boston, where I completed my 1,200+ hours of supervised practice at the world-renowned Harvard Medical Teaching Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC). I finally obtained my registration and license and without pause, entered a job in the clinical nutrition space at one of BIDMC's community hospitals.

The experience, lessons, and unmatchable mentorship I received while working in the clinical space were monumental to my personal and career development. I felt an immense amount of joy working with the care teams and patients, but eventually decided to take my knowledge and experience outside of the hospital with the intent to pursue the question that led me into dietetics in the first place.

With great delight, I have now dedicated myself to helping individuals prevent diseases before they begin, and learn how to treat them before they exacerbate into a hospital stay.

While continuing to learn and grow as a nutrition expert, my long-term goal is to help combat hunger and starvation in impoverished towns, cities, and nations. My drive to provide access to nourishing resources has been inspired by volunteer work in refugee centers, food banks, and time spent in Madagascar. Through these experiences, I have had the privilege of meeting the kindest and most generous people, despite their daily struggles facing extreme food insecurity. I believe empowering these communities can unleash their potential to catalyze positive change not only locally, but globally.

Now, enough about my journey, let's hear yours!
Hi! My name is Madison. I was born and raised rural Upstate New York & I look forward to meeting you!

The earliest documentation of my innate passion and drive for helping others was written at the age of five, when I expressed my desire to become a doctor, along with all the tools I would need to accomplish that goal.
Over the years, I would find myself involved with volunteer work, spending my senior year of high school in the hospital, shadowing and learning from different disciplines while taking college courses, and pursuing my childhood dream of becoming a doctor.

In my sophomore year of college, we had a single class day dedicated to nutrition. This transpired to be one of the most groundbreaking moments in my life.
